On Thursday, 15 November 2018, in the evening at 18:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 12.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Toyota Yaris. One person was injured — the 48-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
