On Wednesday, 30 October 2024, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 12.88), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC60 registered in Germany and a Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene.
