On Wednesday, 2 January 2019, in the evening at 20:39, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 279.37), a Nissan ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Nissan (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
