On Sunday, 2 February 2020, in the afternoon at 16:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 279.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 4007 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Peugeot (55 years of driving experience), who violated traffic rules on motorways. Both drivers were sober.
