On Friday, 15 February 2019, in the afternoon at 12:50, in Kauno district municipality, Ramučių village, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 10.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 3 and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Mazda (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
