On Friday, 12 July 2019, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 214), a Renault Premium 380 registered in Belarus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
