On Friday, 13 March 2020, in the evening at 19:56, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 24.30), a collision while turning right occurred. The accident involved a BMW 525 D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.26‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
