On Thursday, 18 February 2021, in the evening at around 20:00, in Vilnius, on Viršuliškių street near No. 13, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
