On Tuesday, 19 October 2021, in the afternoon at 15:15, in Šilutės district municipality, Klugonų village, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 174.92), a Mazda Xedos 6 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
