On Tuesday, 8 February 2022, in the afternoon at 13:50, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Auris and a Toyota Yaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Toyota Auris (56 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
