On Friday, 23 December 2022, in the evening at 21:43, in Šilalės district municipality, Katyčių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 225), a Seat Toledo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Seat (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She was drunk (1.33‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
