On Monday, 27 February 2023, in the morning at 7:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 32), a falling cargo occurred. The accident involved a MAN TGX and a MAN TGX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the MAN TGX (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
