On Wednesday, 2 August 2023, in the afternoon at 15:05, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 10.25), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Porsche Cayenne, a Nissan Qashqai and a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Porsche (5 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
