On Saturday, 28 October 2023, in the morning at 10:15, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 91.90), a Volkswagen NEW Beetle ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
