Drunk, unlicensed driver's quad bike rolls over in Juršiškių village
On Monday, 25 December 2023, in the afternoon at 14:35, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Juršiškių village, on Kazimiero Narbuto street, at the junction with Parko street, a quad bike rolled over. One person died — the 57-year-old driver of a quad bike. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of a quad bike, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.02‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
