On Sunday, 25 February 2024, in the morning at around 8:00, in Klaipėda, on Budelkiemio street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Signum, an Opel and a BMW X5 3.0D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Opel Signum, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
