On Tuesday, 9 April 2024, in the evening at 17:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 88), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D, a Mercedes-Benz and a Koegel SN 24. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
