Unlicensed motorcyclist and Toyota crash on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė road
On Friday, 26 July 2024, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Žąsino village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 107.29), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Kawasaki ER-5 and a Toyota Avensis. One person was injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Kawasaki (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Kawasaki. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
