Drunk, unlicensed driver's Artic CAT quad bike rolls over in Dainavos village
On Saturday, 6 September 2025, in the evening at 22:40, in Šalčininkų district municipality, Dainavos village, on Liepų street near No. 20, an Artic CAT rolled over. One person was injured — the 52-year-old driver of the Artic CAT (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Artic CAT, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.51‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
