Drunk, hit-and-run MTZ tractor driver crashes in Pasvalio district
On Tuesday, 29 October 2013, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 0.90), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a trailer and a MTZ. One person was injured — a 44-year-old passenger of the MTZ (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the MTZ. He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
