Mitsubishi Galant hits a drunk pedestrian on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija road
On Saturday, 2 November 2013, in the evening at 22:06, in Alytaus district municipality, Santaikos village, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 16.60), a Mitsubishi Galant hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 25-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by a 25-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk (2.92‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
