Renault Espace hits a pedestrian at Galvės and Kirtimų streets, Vilnius

On Friday, 29 November 2013, in the morning at 7:36, in Vilnius, on Galvės street, at the junction with Kirtimų street, a Renault Espace hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 43-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Renault (55 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
