Saab 9-3 and two other cars crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Friday, 6 December 2013, in the evening at 17:20, in Šilalės district municipality, Bytaučių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 229), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3, an Audi Q7 and a Toyota Avensis. One person was injured — the 24-year-old driver of the Saab (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Saab (7 years of driving experience), who violated traffic rules on motorways. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was a blizzard, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
