On Saturday, 14 December 2013, at night at 23:37, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Užventis–Tryškiai–Viekšniai national road (kilometre 4.49), an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Opel (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
