On Friday, 28 February 2014, in the afternoon at 14:02, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 42.70), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla Verso and a Renault Laguna. Four people were injured — a 7-year-old passenger of the Toyota (hospitalized), a 41-year-old passenger of the Renault (hospitalized), the 66-year-old driver of the Toyota (hospitalized) and the 21-year-old driver of the Renault (hospitalized).
