Drunk Audi driver runs off the road on the Tirkšliai–Užlieknė–Viekšniai road
On Saturday, 31 May 2014, in the afternoon at 16:28, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Tirkšliai–Užlieknė–Viekšniai regional road (kilometre 3.90), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.43‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
