Drunk driver's Volkswagen Passat rolls over on the Amaliai–Smilgiai road
On Sunday, 1 June 2014, in the evening at 21:02, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Amaliai–Smilgiai regional road (kilometre 2.79), a Volkswagen Passat rolled over. Two people were injured — a 22-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and a 23-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.50‰ blood alcohol).
