On Friday, 18 July 2014, in the evening at 21:25, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 276.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Latra registered in Latvia and a Nissan Almera Tino. One person was injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Nissan (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Mazda (13 years of driving experience). Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
