On Friday, 25 July 2014, in the evening at 21:59, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Reivyčiai–Leckava regional road (kilometre 3.20), an Audi 100 rolled over. One person died — a 26-year-old passenger of the Audi (was not wearing a seatbelt). Two people were injured — a 23-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 27-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
