On Friday, 5 September 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno city municipality, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Opel (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
