On Friday, 7 November 2014, in the evening at 17:02, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 6.15), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S80, a BMW 330D and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
