On Tuesday, 10 July 2018, in the evening at 20:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 6.50), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Yamaha XV 250. One person was injured — the 59-year-old driver of the Yamaha (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
