On Friday, 12 June 2015, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 104), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz C 200 CDI and a Peugeot 206. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (a citizen of Ukraine) (14 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
