On Friday, 25 September 2015, in the morning at around 5:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, Smilgių village, on Uternos street, a BMW 316 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
