Unlicensed Opel driver hits a parked Audi at Viršuliškių lane and Viršilų street, Vilnius

On Monday, 1 February 2016, in the evening at 22:19, in Vilnius, on Viršuliškių lane, at the junction with Viršilų street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Omega and an Audi A8 registered in Switzerland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
