Fiat Ducato and Peugeot crash on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus road
On Friday, 4 November 2016, in the morning at 9:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 24.70), a Fiat Ducato rolled over. One person was injured — the 31-year-old driver of a Peugeot 307 (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Fiat (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance, failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
