On Monday, 12 June 2017, in the morning at around 8:00, in Šiauliai, on Pramonės street near No. 15A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Renault (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
