DAF FT truck driver hits a parked Opel and flees on Savanorių avenue, Vilnius
On Wednesday, 16 August 2017, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Vilnius, on Savanorių avenue near No. 180, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT 95XF.480, an Opel Corsa and a Krone SDP27. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
