On Saturday, 2 September 2017, at night at 1:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 92), a BMW 3ER Reihe hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
