On Thursday, 2 September 2021, in the evening at 20:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 92), a Peugeot 307 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Peugeot (25 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She was drunk (1.15‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
