On Thursday, 21 December 2017, in the afternoon at 12:10, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 31.75), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 124 LA, a Fruehauf - and a Volvo 960 registered in Ukraine. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Scania (31 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
