On Monday, 22 October 2018, in the evening at 18:30, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 31.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 XD registered in Poland and a Scania. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the BMW (27 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
