Two Peugeot cars crash in Rimkų village
On Saturday, 13 October 2018, in the afternoon at 11:55, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Rimkų village, on Mažosios Lietuvos street, at the junction with Šilutės street, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot registered in Great Britain and a Peugeot 405. Two people were injured — the 80-year-old driver of the Peugeot 405 (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 86-year-old passenger of the Peugeot 405 (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Peugeot (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
