On Saturday, 30 March 2019, in the evening at 21:28, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Seda–Židikai national road (kilometre 11.52), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
