On Thursday, 9 January 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Panevėžys, on Respublikos street, at the junction with M. Valančiaus street, a Ford Galaxy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 57-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Ford (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
