Drunk, unlicensed driver's Jianshe moped rolls over in Antkopčio village
On Monday, 20 July 2020, in the evening at 20:17, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Antkopčio village, on Volungių street near No. 19, a rollover on the carriageway occurred. The accident involved a Jianshe. One person was injured — a 38-year-old passenger of the Jianshe (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a helmet). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Jianshe, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.39‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
