Drunk, unlicensed motorcyclist runs off the road in Ašmintos village
On Tuesday, 25 August 2020, in the evening at 22:55, in Prienų district municipality, Ašmintos village, on Parko street near No. 9, a motorcycle ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 40-year-old driver of a motorcycle (treated as an outpatient) and a 26-year-old passenger of a motorcycle (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of a motorcycle, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.53‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
