On Wednesday, 24 February 2021, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Telšiai–Varniai–Laukuva national road (kilometre 47), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Renault 18 and a Mercedes-Benz 1836. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Renault (5 years of driving experience).
