On Sunday, 5 September 2021, at night at around 23:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Traksėdžių village, on Šilojų street near No. 16, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a watercraft. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
