Drunk, unlicensed driver hits an obstacle on Kelmyniškės street, Vainuto town
On Tuesday, 28 December 2021, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Vainuto town, on Kelmyniškės street near No. 2, an Arctic Cat F7 EF1 hit an obstacle. One person was injured — the 41-year-old driver of the Arctic Cat (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Arctic Cat, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.10‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
